Details:
On or about Thursday, February 24th, 2022, around 3:00 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer sent left one individual dead. Troopers from the GSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 75 in Cobb County, Georgia.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on Interstate 75. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead of their injuries a short time after the accident but it is not immediately clear if they died at the scene or if they were rushed to the hospital with where they succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 75 cuts north and south through the center of Cobb County.
Georgia State Patrol assisted local authorities after the accident.
