On or about Friday, October 14th, 2021, around 4:00 in the morning, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and pickup truck left one individual dead. Troopers from the FHP said the accident was reported along Lem Turner Road near Interstate 295 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Officials from the Florida Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances while driving down Lem Turner Road. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the pickup truck dead a short time after the accident, but it is not clear if they died at the scene or after being taken to the hospital.
According to Google Maps, Lem Turner Road runs north and south into the heart of Jacksonville, with the scene of the accident a short distance north of downtown.
