On or about Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021, around 11:20 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left a 47-year-old man from Hartford, Connecticut dead. Officials from the area said the accident happened on the eastbound side of the Massachusetts Turnpike in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.
Police officers said an as-of-yet unidentified 47-year-old man from East Hartford, Connecticut was killed when he was allegedly hit by an eastbound tractor-trailer. The victim may have been standing near the open door of a disabled vehicle when he was struck.
Google Maps shows the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) runs east and west through the northern edge of Sturbridge. Sturbridge is about 60 miles southwest of Boston.
Massachusetts State Police are investigating the accident.
