Details:
On or about Friday, November 5th, 2021, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway in Des Moines, Iowa.
Law enforcement representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a car allegedly crossed over the center line of the Martin Luther King Jr Parkway near the intersection with Prospect Road. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the car dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the collision. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Parkway and Prospect Road is situated on the north side of Des Moines.
Police are still looking into the cause of the accident.
