On or about Friday, October 22nd, 2021, around 10:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian claimed the life of a man in his 60s. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported in the 3700 block of North 2nd Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Police said an as-of-yet unidentified man in his 60s was killed when he was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer while he was walking near or trying to cross North 2nd Street. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene. Police did not mention any other injuries or vehicles in their preliminary report on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is located a short distance north of downtown Philadelphia.
