On or about Friday, October 15th, 2021, around 3:35 in the afternoon, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of an 87-year-old woman. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of the North Loop and Hardy Street in Houston, Texas.

Authorities from the Houston Police Department said an as-of-yet unidentified 87-year-old woman was killed when the car she was in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that was stopped at the light at North Loop and Hardy Street. Paramedics rushed the woman to Ben Taub General Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021. No other injuries were detailed by police in their initial statement on the accident.

According to Google Maps, the intersection of North Loop and Hardy Street is situated on the northeast side of Houston.

Officials are still investigating the accident.
