Details:
On or about Thursday, December 9th, 2021, around 2:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left one individual dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along North Loop 610 near the exchange with T.J. Jester Boulevard in Houston, Texas.
Representatives from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on North Loop 610. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of his injuries at the scene of the incident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of North Loop and T.J. Jester Boulevard is on the northwest side of Houston.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
