Details:
On or about Friday, October 29th, 2021, around 4:40 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a woman dead. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Old 56 Highway near the intersection with Chestnut Street in Olathe, Kansas.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when she was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as she was walking along or made an attempt to cross Old 56 Highway. Paramedics pronounced the woman dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the accident. Officers did not mention any other vehicles or injuries in their preliminary statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Old 56 Highway and Chestnut Street is located on the south side of Olathe.
Police are still investigating the accident.
