On or about Thursday, March 18th, 2021, around 6:00 in the evening, an accident between a motorcycle, a car, and a tractor-trailer left one person dead. Highway Patrol officials said the accident happened along Otay Valley Road in Otay Mesa, California.
Deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when a car, a motorcycle, and an 18-wheeler collided in a chain-reaction collision. Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Police did not release details on how the chain-reaction may have started.
According to Google Maps, Otay Mesa is situated along the southern border with Mexico.
California Highway Patrol are still investigating.
