On or about Monday, June 14th, 2021, around 10:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car claimed the life of a 31-year-old man. Deputies from the Berks County Sheriff’s Department said the accident happened along Route 183 in Jefferson Township, Pennsylvania.
Troopers from the State Police said an as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when their car and a tractor-trailer collided under unknown conditions. After the initial collision, the victim’s car was pushed off the roadway and into a nearby creek.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance west of Scranton, roughly 136 miles north of Philadelphia.
