On or about Monday, November 1st, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Officials from the PSP said the accident was reported along Route 309 just outside Beaumont in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania.

Officers from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the pickup truck they were in allegedly crossed over the center line of Route 309 and struck a tractor-trailer head-on. Emergency responders pronounced one person in the pickup truck dead after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if they died at the scene or if they were rushed to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Beaumont, which is about 25 miles west of Scranton.
