Details:
On or about Tuesday, June 7th, 2022, around 3:50 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Troopers from the VSP said the accident was reported along Route 460 in Bedford County, Virginia.
Officials from the Virginia State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Route 460. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the incident is not far from the exchange with Candle Lane.
State and local agencies responded to the scene to assist after the accident.
