On or about Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, around 2:44 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a 52-year-old man. Troopers from the FHP said the accident was reported along State Road 471 in Sumter County, Florida.
Law enforcement representatives from the area said an as-of-yet unidentified 52-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances while driving on State Road 471. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the collision.
According to Google Maps, State Road 471 runs north and south through Sumter County, which is about 61 miles north of downtown Tampa.
