On or about Thursday, December 16th, 2021, around 11:00 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of one individual. Department of Public Safety spokespeople said the accident was reported on State Highway 105 in Montgomery County, Texas.
Officials said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the car they were driving allegedly slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was stopped on the shoulder of Highway 105. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead of their injuries a short time after the collision. Officials said the car may have been evading authorities at the time of the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 41 miles north of downtown Houston.
Police are still examining all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
