On or about Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, around 2:30 in the afternoon, a serious accident with a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Troopers from the FHP said the accident was reported along Florida’s Turnpike in Martin County, Florida.
Spokespeople from the Florida Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the pickup truck they were driving allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer along Florida’s Turnpike. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the pickup truck dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the crash is situated near Hobe Sound.
Authorities are still examining the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
