Details:
On or about Wednesday, March 24th, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a UTV and a tractor-trailer left an 86-year-old Westville man dead. Troopers from the FHP said the accident happened along County Road 185 near Hurricane Creek Road in Holmes County, Florida.
Police said an as-of-yet unidentified 86-year-old man was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer while driving his UTV. Officials indicated the UTV may have been crossing the road at the time of the collision. Paramedics pronounced the 86-year-old man dead at the scene of the incident.
Holmes County is in the Florida panhandle, about 104 miles northwest of Tallahassee.
Officials from Pine Log Fire Department, New Hope Fire Department, Ponce De Leon Fire Department and Holmes County responded to the scene.
