Details:
On or about Thursday, February 24th, 2022, around 6:41 in the morning, an accident between a transit van and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Troopers from ISP said the accident was reported along Interstate 70 in Vigo County, Indiana.
Law enforcement spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the van they were in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer along I-70. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the van dead of their injuries a short time after the collision. Officials identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 51-year-old Ramaz Chokheli.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 cuts east and west through the center of Vigo County, which is about 75 miles southwest of Indianapolis.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
