On or about Friday, July 9th, 2021, around 9:00 in the morning, an accident between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer left one person dead. Deputies from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 4000 block of Turlock, California.
Officials from the California Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when the motorcycle they were driving and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead a short time after the accident, but did not specify if they died at the scene or after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, West Main Street runs east and west through the center of Turlock, which is about 105 miles east of San Francisco.
State and local law enforcement are investigating the incident.
