Details:
On or about Monday, November 8th, 2021, around 4:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler left one individual dead and took out several power poles. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of Winn Road and Pan American Drive in El Paso, Texas.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a tractor-trailer and a semi truck collided under unspecified circumstances while driving at or near the intersection of Pan American Drive and Winn Road. After the initial collision, one or both of the trucks collided with several power poles a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics pronounced one person dead of their injuries a short time after the crash.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Winn Road and Pan American Drive is on the south side of El Paso.
Police are still investigating.
