Details:
On or about Monday, June 21st, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left one individual dead. Troopers from the TSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Yale Road and Altruia Road in Bartlett, Tennessee.
Deputies from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when the car they were in and a tractor-trailer collided under unknown conditions. Emergency responders rushed one occupant from the car to a nearby hospital where they died of their injuries a short time after their arrival. Authorities did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is located about 13 miles northeast of downtown Memphis.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
