On or about Saturday, November 13th, 2021, around 8:00 in the morning, a serious accident between a tractor-trailer and a backhoe left a 74-year-old man and sent a 35-year-old man to the hospital. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported along Dairy Road near the intersection of Salem Avenue near Corcoran in Kings County, California.
Authorities from the California Highway Patrol said an as-of-yet unidentified 74-year-old man was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into the Caterpillar backhoe he was operating along Dairy Avenue. Paramedics pronounced the 74-year-old backhoe driver dead from the injuries he sustained when he was ejected from the vehicle in the collision. Emergency responders transported the 35-year-old tractor-trailer driver to Kaweah Health Medical Center with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance rom Corcoran, which is about 173 miles north of Los Angeles.
