On or about Wednesday, July 21st, 2021, around 9:00 in the morning, a multi-vehicle tractor-trailer accident left one person dead and sent several others to the hospital. Deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 635 near the exchange with Town East Boulevard in Mesquite, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when an SUV, a commercial vehicle, a tractor-trailer, and a FedEx truck collided in a chain-reaction accident on northbound Interstate 635. Emergency responders pronounced one individual dead after the accident, while several other people were transported from the scene to nearby hospitals with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated near Town East Mall in Mesquite, which is located about 14 miles east of downtown Dallas.
