Details:
On or about Tuesday, May 10th, 2022, around 11:00 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left one individual dead. Officials from the ASP said the accident was reported along U.S. Highway 231 in Dothan, Alabama.
Representatives from the Alabama State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when she was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer as she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Highway 231. After the initial accident, the tractor-trailer fled the scene of the incident. Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead of her injuries after they responded to the scene.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a not far from the intersection with Ross Clark Circle.
Officials are still trying to find the driver and tractor-trailer that fled the scene.
