Details:
On or about Tuesday, January 12th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian claimed the life of one person. Law enforcement spokespeople said the accident happened at the intersection of 13th Street and Washington Street in Charlestown, Massachusetts.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when they were allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer hauling cars and dragged for several blocks before the truck drove away. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene from their injuries. Police have since found a vehicle of interest in connection with the accident, but have not released details.
According to Google Maps, Charlestown is located a short distance north of downtown Boston.
Police are still reviewing footage of the accident from nearby security cameras.
