Details:
On or about Monday, February 21st, 2022, shortly before 6:00 in the evening, an accident between a train and a pedestrian left one person dead. Officers from the SMPD said the accident was reported along a length of track near CM Allen Parkway in San Marcos, Texas.
Officers from the San Marcos Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when he was allegedly struck by a train as he was walking alongside or tried to cross the tracks near CM Allen Parkway. Emergency responders pronounced one person dead of their injuries after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the incident.
According to Google Maps, San Marcos is about 49 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
