Details:
On or about Sunday, April 17th, 2022, around 1:07 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a train left one individual dead. Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported on a length of track near the intersection of Roland Avenue and J Street in San Antonio, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a train while they may have been laying on the tracks near the intersection of J Street and Roland Avenue. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the incident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Roland Avenue and J Street is on the northeast side of San Antonio.
Officials are still examining the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
