Details:
On or about Friday, October 29th, 2021, around 4:05 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a train left one individual dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at a private railyard in the 1700 block of Federal Road in Houston, Texas.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when a backing train collided with a tractor-trailer that was crossing the tracks. Police said the train operator was standing at the rear of the train at the time of the collision, and was subsequently pinned against the tractor-trailer by the train. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the 1700 block of Federal Road is situated on the east side of Houston.
Multiple agencies are investigating the incident.
