On or about Wednesday, April 5th, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, an accident between a pickup truck and a heavy-duty truck left one person dead and injured another. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported along Avenue A at or near the exchange with 46th Street in Lubbock, Texas.
Officers from the Lubbock Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and another was injured when a pickup truck and a heavy-duty truck collided head-on when one of them allegedly veered over the center line of the roadway on Avenue A. Paramedics pronounced one of the drivers dead after the accident, while a second person was treated for unspecified injuries. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
