Details:
On or about Sunday, May 29th, 2022, a serious accident between a pedestrian and a truck left one person dead. Spokespeople from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 180 in Fresno, California.
Troopers from the California Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a passing truck as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Highway 180. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead a short time after the accident, but it is not currently clear if they died at the scene or if they were rushed to a nearby hospital where they died a short time later.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the intersection with Blackstone.
Police are still investigating the incident.
