On or about Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022, sometime in the evening hours, a serious accident between a commercial truck and a pickup truck left one person dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 36 in Caldwell, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a commercial truck and a pickup truck collided under unspecified circumstances along Highway 36. Emergency responders pronounced one person dead of their injuries after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if they died at the scene or after they were rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with County Road 107.
Police are still trying to pin down the cause of the collision.
