On or about Saturday, December 5th, 2021, around 8:25 at night, an accident while unloading a vehicle from a trailer claimed the life of one individual. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported in the 4000 block of Souza Street in Eugene, Oregon.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a pickup truck that was being unloaded from a trailer at a business on Souza Street. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead of his injuries as soon as he was freed from being pinned by the vehicle. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated on the northwest side of Eugene.
Police are still investigating the incident.
