On or about Monday, May, 2nd, 2022, around 5:00 in the morning, a major three-vehicle chain-reaction car accident left one person dead and sent at least two others to the hospital. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the ramp connecting Beltway 8 and Interstate 45 in Houston, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and at least two other people were injured when three vehicles collided in a chain-reaction accident along the Beltway 8 ramp to I-45. Authorities said at least one of the vehicles rolled in the accident. Paramedics pronounced one individual dead, while two others were taken to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Officials did not specify which vehicle or vehicles the victims were in at the time of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 45 and Beltway 8 is on the north side of Houston.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
