Details:
On or about Thursday, January 5th, 2022, around 6:30 in the evening, a serious single-vehicle car accident left one individual dead and sent two women to the hospital. Officials from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported in the 4700 block of Kelley Street in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the HPD said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and two women were injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly veered off the side of Kelley Street at a high rate of speed and struck both a fire hydrant and a number of trees a short distance off the pavement. One man in the car was pronounced dead of their injuries at the scene, while two women in the car were transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated on the northeast side of Houston.
Police are still trying to determine all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
