On or about Friday, January 28th, 2022, around 2:33 in the morning, a major two-vehicle head-on accident left one woman dead and sent two other individuals to the hospital. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Spur 527 in Houston, Texas.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed and two other people were injured when a pickup truck allegedly struck another vehicle head-on while driving the wrong direction on Spur 527. A passenger in the pickup truck was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival. Two other individuals were taken to the hospital, but officials did not specify which vehicle they were in at the time of the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance southeast of downtown Houston.
Police are still investigating the accident.
