Details:
On or about Saturday, May 21st, 2022, around 12:00 in the afternoon, a serious suspected drunk driving accident left one person dead and sent another person to the hospital. Deputies from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along North Davis Drive in Arlington, Texas.
Representatives from the Arlington Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed, while another was injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly lost control and rolled off the side of North Davis Drive. Emergency responders pronounced one occupant in the vehicle, while the driver and another passenger were transported to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
Authorities say they suspected alcohol played a role in the accident, and expect to charge the driver, identified as Jose Rodriguez Perez, with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the accident.
Police are still investigating the accident.
