Details:
On or about Saturday, December 11th, 2021, around 11:00 at night, a major two-vehicle hit-and-run car accident claimed the life of one child and sent two people to the hospital. Authorities from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported in the 13900 block of Cullen Boulevard in Houston, Texas.
Law enforcement personnel said one as-of-yet unidentified 7-year-old girl was killed, while a 7-year-old boy and an adult were injured when the car they were in was allegedly struck broadside by a pickup truck that ran a stop sign at an intersection on Cullen Boulevard. One child in the car died a short time after the collision, while another child and the driver of the car were rushed to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. The driver and passengers in the pickup truck fled the scene after the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the south side of Houston.
Investigators are still examining the cause of the incident.
