Details:
On or about Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, around 10:30 in the morning, a serious accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left one woman dead and sent two individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along Peace Road near the intersection with Freed Road in DeKalb County, Illinois.
Local law enforcement representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when her car and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances while driving down Peace Road. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead of her injuries, while the driver and passenger in the tractor-trailer were taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 60 miles west of downtown Chicago.
Police are still investigating.
