On or about Tuesday, July 6th, 2021, around 11:24 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and two cars left one individual dead and sent two others to the hospital. Officials from the ASP said the accident was reported along Interstate 19 near the exchange with Pima Mine Road in Tucson, Arizona.

Officials from the Arizona Department of Transportation said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed and two others were taken to the hospital after an 18-wheeler and a car collided under unknown circumstances. After the initial collision, the tractor-trailer rolled into the roadway, where the trailer was hit by a second car. The driver of the tractor-trailer and the first car were taken to the hospital, while the driver of the second car was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 19 runs north and south through the center of Tucson, with the scene of the accident situated about 20 miles south of downtown Tucson.
