On or about Monday, August 16th, 2021, around 6:00 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and twelve other vehicles left one person dead and sent two others to the hospital. Local law enforcement officials said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 30 near the exchange with Dalrock Road in Rowlett, Texas.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed and two others were injured when a tractor-trailer and twelve other cars collided in a chain-reaction accident on westbound Interstate 30. Paramedics pronounced one person dead of their injuries a short time after the accident, while two others were transported to the hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 30 runs east and west through Rowlett, which is roughly 19 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.
Police are still working to determine the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
