On or about Sunday, October 24th, 2021, around 10:00 in the morning, an accident between two tractor-trailers and an SUV left one individual dead and injured two others. Deputies from the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Interstate 70 in Plainfield, Illinois.

Law enforcement representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed, while two other people were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly crossed from the eastbound lanes and struck a westbound 18-wheeler and an SUV. One of the truck drivers was pronounced dead, while the other truck driver and one person in the SUV were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 runs east and west through the southern edge of Plainfield, which is about 17 miles west of Indianapolis.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
