On or about Sunday, March 20th, 2022, around 11:59 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a Toyota Prius left one person dead and sent another two people to the hospital. Deputies from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Interstate 80 in Iowa City, Iowa.
Troopers from the Iowa State Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and two others were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into the back of a Toyota Prius on I-80. Paramedics pronounced one person dead after the accident, while two others were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Police did not indicate which vehicle the victims were in at the time of the accident.
