Details:
On or about Wednesday, July 21st, 2021, around 1:43 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left one person dead and sent two others to the hospital. Officials said the accident was reported along Interstate 85 in Brunswick County, Virginia.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed and two others were rushed to the hospital after a tractor-trailer allegedly skidded off the side of the road and slammed into a nearby vehicle. After the initial accident, the tractor-trailer crashed into a wooded patch a short distance off the pavement. The driver of the tractor-trailer was pronounced dead after the crash, while two people in the car were rushed to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 85 runs north and south through Brunswick County, which is about 69 miles south of Richmond.
