On or about Tuesday, January 18th, 2022, around 4:00 in the afternoon, a major chain-reaction accident between a tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles left one individual dead and sent two other people to the hospital. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along Route 15 in Bucksport, Maine.
Law enforcement representatives from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and two other individuals were injured when a tractor-trailer and two other vehicles collided under unspecified circumstances. One person was pronounced dead a short time after the collision, while two other people were rushed to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated about 14 miles south of downtown Bangor.
Police are still examining the factors behind the crash.
