Details:
On or about Monday, June 13th, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, an accident between a motorcycle and a garbage truck left one person dead. Officials from the FHP said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of Pine Island Road and Woodward Avenue in North Fort Meyers, Florida.
Local law enforcement representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the motorcycle they were on was allegedly hit by a turning WastePro garbage truck at Pine Island Road and Woodward Avenue. Emergency responders rushed the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the north edge of North Fort Meyers.
Police are still investigating the accident.
