On or about Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a pedestrian and a water delivery truck claimed the life of a 75-year-old man. Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Ashbury Road and Fellowship Circle in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Investigators said an as-of-yet unidentified 75-year-old man was killed when he was allegedly struck by a water delivery truck as he was walking along or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on Ashbury Road at Fellowship Circle. Police said the water delivery truck was making a turn when it struck the victim. Officials did not specify if the victim died at the scene, or if he was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to Google Maps, Gaithersburg is about 44 miles southwest of downtown Baltimore.
