On or about Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021, around 11:30 in the morning, an accident between a work truck and a car claimed the life of a teenage driver. Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the northbound I-69 service road near Kingwood Drive in Montgomery County, Texas.
Department of Public Safety Troopers said one as-of-yet unidentified teenager was killed when his car allegedly struck the back of a truck that was hauling scrap on the I-69 service road. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
Authorities closed the northbound service road for several hours in order to tend to the scene of the incident.
Police are still investigating the accident.
