The Driver of a Ford SUV was critically injured after colliding with the rear-end of a semi-truck on Interstate 72, south of Jacksonville, IL. The accident occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, near the US 67 Exit, diverting traffic for several hours. Illinois State Police report that the driver of the Ford SUV became wedged under the trailer of the semi-truck and required extraction before being taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital.
