Details:

A Honda sedan driver was killed in a near head-on collision with a Volvo semi-truck on Bear Mountain Boulevard, east of Arvin, CA. Troopers from the California Highway Patrol say the crash took place around 7:47 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Early reports indicate the Honda was travelling west on Route 223 when the vehicle drifted into the eastbound lanes. There it collided with the eastbound semi-truck. The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger was transported to Kern Medical with serious injuries. The driver of the semi remained at the scene, and is cooperating with investigators.
