Details
One person was killed on Interstate 88 just after Midnight on Monday, December 9, 2024 when they crashed head-on into a semi-truck. Illinois State Police report that the driver was travelling west in the eastbound lanes of I-88 when they collided with the semi-truck, and their vehicle immediately caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the semi-truck driver was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
