One person was seriously injured after colliding with the rear of a semi-truck on Interstate 80, at mile marker 24, near Wendover, UT. Utah Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

After crashing into the rear of the semi trailer, the SUV became trapped beneath it, bursting into flame. Authorities were able to extricate the driver, who was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Investigation into the circumstance surrounding the accident are currently underway.
